Look up Logan Labs. Send them a soil sample. They will send you back a faboulous reccomendation of all natural amendments to get your ph right and nutrients flowing. Cover cropping in mid september with nitrogen fixing legumes, mustard greens will boost organic matter. On small beds, a high qualit...

Hell yeah, a small plot is plenty to work with for home vegetable production! Best advice is: Learn by doing, and remember that it’s a process! You are literally ‘building soil’. It takes time and there is no such thing as perfect. As a beginner, keep things simple. Focus on the crops that ...

Nursery tomatos can give you a late harvest still as well. Most squash (cucumbers/zuchinni) are great since they go so fast. You can also do kale, c...

Damn, I think I fucked up this year in the garden. After two weeks gone, coming back home and seeing it in the state that it's in is a little bit depressing.

My roommate watered for me, but I think I fucked up with soil preparation. So I'm going to let this year ride and see what I get from it but I think I'm going to have to figure out some crops or things to plant in these garden beds over the winter that'll help the soil and then when I go to plant in the summer do a bunch of extra fertilization.

Having the automated watering system to set up and dialed will probably be a big bonus as well.

Living soil is the way. You should not need *any* added chemical fertilizers (organic nutrients included) whatsoever if you cultivate healthy soil. 💯 Fish emulsion and seaweed/kelp extract can help to give plants a boost as a foliar feed and/or to boost soil biology initially. Fertilizers are e...

The metadata’s consistent with a rapid deployment strategy – note the .nprofile suffix and the UTN link; it suggests a deliberate attempt to seed network adoption.
