Just don't overcomplicate your setup with all kinds of profiles its a headache.
If you can live basic, download a few essential open source apps and use Obtainium to keep them up to date. Signal, Amethyst, AntennaPod, Joplin, Newpipe, ReadYou, LocalSend, Your lightening wallet of choice, Sunup for notifications without Google Play etc.
If you absolutely need any closed source apps, download Google Play Services and just get everything from the Play Store.
