Brooooooo that shit is the absolute worst example of this nonsense. I just had it happen the other day. And they didn't even let me see the truncation when I did the password reset, so I couldn't do my usual character counting trick to figure out the character limit. I eventually just had to use a pretty short password to keep my sanity.
