Something I find myself doing a lot right now is writing little local scripts to generate web pages from data using e.g. templating libraries rather than a full blown generated static site frameworks or whatever. Feel like I'm searching for some lost stage we skipped past where we had handy abstractions to automate making websites without obfuscating the bejesus out of the whole thing.
