Why do some people hate the string theory so much? I’ll watch something occasionally and there will be a comment from someone who thinks it’s absolute bs.

I personally like the idea of a musical universe. It kind of makes sense. It’s also weird how music is the easiest thing to recall for humans no matter their age. Coincidence? 🤨

I used to be into string theory until I discovered Dr Wal Thornhill and Michael Clarage and the thunderbolts YouTube channel. They actually have a theory that has made accurate predictions over the past decade. Here is one of their oldest videos. But you should check out the entire channel https:/...

You'd probably love Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory (sitcom) then

Because the only reason people believe in it is because it would be nice if it worked. Predictions are made and never met at the energy levels that should work. Check out 'Lost in Math' for a nice book about it

Because Michio Kaku is a hack. He's like Paul Stammets: a great embassador of their field to the masses, and spouting BS much of the time for attention.

I think it's a case of an idea that is compelling because it's beautiful. But beautiful ideas do not true explanations make. My understanding is that string theory has yet to succeed in making predictions, so it remains just an abstract, beautiful idea.

Probably because of a shit movie called interstellar
