so, i fasted for 72 hours. at nearly on the dot of 72 hours i started to get quite severe problems, low blood pressure, palpable pulses all over the place, lethargy, muscle weakness, apparently related to fasting causing faster elimination of sodium. felt better almost instantly after guzzling some 10% fat yogurt. gonna stick with yogurt for a few days so the membrane regeneration completes fully over the next two days and then back to normal food.

when i did this previously, i hit similar issues at the 3 day point but after doing the fast i felt a lot better for about 3 months. so i'm going to repeat this every 3 months. end of september for the next round.

the 3 day long fast triggers the stem cells to start replicating to regenerate new cells with fresh, high quality DNA in them, so i think this regime will stop and reverse chronic degeneration. it was 6 months ago i did it before, and the last 3 months i could feel everything going downhill. so, 3 months it is.

there's no studies been done on the cycle to use for this kind of longer water fast but the mechanisms are none and seem to me like definitely a way to halt and reverse disease. i know i have got issues with my kidneys and stomach and intestines for sure so resetting them regularly like this should see my health continue on a upward trajectory. i got really sick a few years ago. muscle weakness, vision decline, all sorts of things. probably this will start to reverse over a year or two of this regime. i already have seen a dramatic improvement from adding magnesium, carnitine and taurine over the last 3 months so that should compound with the reset from the fasting. new cells, new electrolytes, everything more like it should be.

being 50 now i can't afford to lose my physical function. i don't live a regular lifestyle. extreme long walks and bicycle rides, and various other kinds of adventures that take a lot out of me but gain me a lot of perspective and self-image are good. i like to live close to the edge but the last few years i got way too close to not being able to go there and it was depressing and frustrating. practically was becoming invalid.

Are you doing electrolytes during the water fast?
