maybe that's what happens if you're around long enough, or maybe they brought their followers from another platform? ๐Ÿ“ˆ

I think it's still less likely here relative to proprietary platform with algo engineering and signal boosting fakes are all too common. Thinking outloud here but it's nice to avoid a lot of that even though I guess I've seen a few here. I'm sure though if nostr substantially increased its network...

Haven't seen much of that beyond nostr devs and people with podcasts. What kind of accounts are you referring to? Most of the people with bigger followings on legacy social media don't stick around nostr long

Most users sign up using the primal app because it's the only one that advertises itself on other platforms. If people select any of the interests when signing up on that app they automatically follow all the primal influencers (hodl corndalorian Odell etc.) Apart from that you have the active Dev...

I recently read, that if you install and use Primal for the first time, you automatically follow certain big npubs. Maybe this accounts to it, too.
