Money used to be private by default.

Once it became widely surveilled in the 20th century, attempts to make money more private again were generally criminalized.

privacy by default was a fundamental property of money. nobody noticed or thought to write it down until money began to be sent through computers.

These two acted like morons and for a decentralized entity to have a customer service department that assures you they can hide your illegal stuff for you? And also tells you they make their money charging fees for the black and gray market? And they do this all right out in the open

All this happens while some fools work on making jpegs on top of bitcoin. I'm all up for freedom to do what people want, but this covid meme comes to mind #priorities https://image.nostr.build/9b65689fe5dfda990c12ca8f14d3b80770fdbcc353eb8cddcdd072cac2c0e2af.jpg

What I find overbearing is how the US Govt asserts that it’s laws should apply to the whole world and that they can enforce their laws on everyone. Interesting that so many people simply accept it saying “they knowingly fascilitated money laundering”
