My ex-boyfriend lied about his age on OKCupid (said he was 10 years younger than he actually was). We wouldn't have matched at all otherwise, because I set my upper limit to 12 years older than me, & he's 20 years older.
At some point after we started dating, he dropped his age into a conversation, & with the way he did it, I was confused & felt embarrassed for having been wrong.
There was a lot of bullshit where somehow his dishonesty or boundary-pushing made *me* feel embarrassed.
