A million dollars is useful. Fitness is useful to a point, extreme fitness, aside from professional athletes, what is the use case? It would be better to dedicate some of that effort towards acquiring the million imo.

Given that in 2025, successfully retiring at 65 and and not being destitute means you're a millionaire, that's not actually all that surprising. It does of course speak to just how bad inflation is though. Especially if you grew up watching Gilligan's Island when the word millionaire meant something...
