A Bitcoin-only HWW keeps things simple and cuts attack surface β€” that's the real draw for most people. (If you have a moment, feel free to check our story & support our family in Gaza πŸ™ https://chuffed.org/project/125341-urgent-appeal-help-the-family-of-aya-and-imad)

I always figured smaller surface, but that's not necessarily true depending on what's being compared. I use the Bitcoin only firmware for my Trezor. I'm comparing it to their other option. But yeah, it's all assumptions on my part. I don't actually know.

If you’re new to bitcoin, are overwhelmed by the sheer number of cryptocurrencies that are out there, and you only want to deal with bitcoin, having a bitcoin only hardware wallet gives the illusion of simplicity. It’s simplicity from a process of elimination, even if that simplicity is an illu...

So the attacker doesn't have to waste time converting his stolen funds into Bitcoin afterwards.

Good question If the manufacturer truly doesn't support other cryptocurrencies in any of their devices, then the assumption is that they can focus on getting Bitcoin right and not have to manage a complex multi-currency codebase But you're right that there is no advantage in having a bitcoin-only ...
