This feels like a promising start.
Big scope on top. Cleaning rod replaced with upside down AK gas port. Front furniture black with wooden stock like the MG42.
But I also discovered why scifi Martini-Henry might not have been done before. To make it more than single shot, where do you put the magazine? The trigger is directly under the breach block. 🤔
That whole breach assembly is the most iconic part of the design. You can't touch that!
Side feed would be an option, but on a marksman rifle?
