For the past four years, I’ve spent one special mother-daughter day with each of my daughters during the summer holidays. They get to choose what we do, and for that day, they have my full attention.
This tradition began because my older daughters often had to make compromises in everyday life when something simply wasn’t possible with their younger brother. Sometimes they understood, and sometimes they were understandably frustrated. I felt sorry for that. So I suggested setting aside one day each year that would be entirely about them.
They love it, and by now it’s become a tradition we wouldn’t want to miss 🤍
