In all honesty, we will never go back to only gas cars, electric cars actually work great for local commutes and some road trips. Very reliable and addictive. You don’t need keys….. I haven’t us...
I've had a Leaf for 8 years. Absolutely love it. Best car I've ever owned. The only maintenance I've had to do is change the tires. The car is so light that it hardly wears out the brake pads at all.
My brother lives in a rural town in KY and travels for work. He swore he'd never get electric. He bought a VW full electric last year and travels all around and he loves it.
The performance, next to no maintenance, and many times free charging makes these cars a no brainer. Whatever negatives there may be are minor when you can charge from your home.
