Schools really crack down on that shit.

In all honesty, we will never go back to only gas cars, electric cars actually work great for local commutes and some road trips. Very reliable and addictive. You don’t need keys….. I haven’t us...

I've had a Leaf for 8 years. Absolutely love it. Best car I've ever owned. The only maintenance I've had to do is change the tires. The car is so light that it hardly wears out the brake pads at all.

My brother lives in a rural town in KY and travels for work. He swore he'd never get electric. He bought a VW full electric last year and travels all around and he loves it.

The performance, next to no maintenance, and many times free charging makes these cars a no brainer. Whatever negatives there may be are minor when you can charge from your home.

In life I strongly believe you have to try almost everything. If you don’t like it or it doesn’t work, you have ground to stand on, otherwise you are just going with the what you hear. I tried a Leaf, it was awesome, but range was too short so we got a car with longer range and perfect. We tri...

Thoughts on the new Star Wars movies and TV shows between episode 3 & 4? Only people who have seen them please.
Tertiushand profile picture
Rogue One is obviously the greatest movie of that period. Honestly, it's my favorite Star Wars movie period.

Obi-wan was great. Feels like they set up a lot of stuff (hopefully a new Quinlan Vos story).

Ander is good and explores what it was like for people to be persecuted by the Empire in a very grounded way.

You can skip Bad Batch. I have no idea who their intended audience was for that and the story was just all over the place. Nothing worth seeing there except for maybe the two episodes that explain what happens to the clones after the clone wars.

Solo is just a fun ride. Don't take the story too serious and just enjoy the fan service and it's fun.

I really appreciate your response. My wife and I are watching all the live action movies. I’ll watch Bad Batch and explain it to her. Don’t want to push my luck when she’s enjoying them.

Day 2 of no Twitter: I'm glad I found the Reuters Nostr. That's got the news I want.

Do miss my comic news. Trying to figure out a good alternative for that.

Are there any good science news to follow on Nostr?

I have resorted to following a few accounts on Facebook but I'd like to move away from Facebook as well.

I feel like one of the negatives of being monetarily incentivized to make posts is that posts are rewarded more for parroting the feelings of the user base rather than posting unique creative content.

It also discourages posting messages that contradict the prevailing worldview and only elevates posts that fit inside that worldview.

I'm seeing a return of people, like yourself, but I can't believe the stars were this low. I'm wondering if they had a data problem or if we just had purple colored lenses.

I would have not added this phrase personally, it is secondary in my opinion. But there exists an executive order in California which bans the sale of all ICE vehicles starting from 2035. Other states and countries are reportedly planning to pass similar legislation.

I think that's a lot of wishful thinking for Libertarians. Bitcoin is traceable via receipts which the CIA/FBI use frequently to catch tax evasion and terrorists.

Most of the money printed is to replace destroyed bills, so while it may affect it some, it wouldn't be as big of an impact as you might think. Most of their money actually comes form taxes which would still have to be paid, even if with Bitcoin itself (like in Colorado).

The country already has watches on known Bitcoin wallets associated with Russian actors. All they do is watch those wallets for transactions to figure out what they're using them for.

Bitcoin will not topple the State, they'll simply us Bitcoin instead of USD. The benefit is that they'd need a warrant to trace your transactions vs a CBDC where the information is readily available.

Encourage you to give video this came from a watch and think through the rabbit holes presented. If the entire economy is put on a CBDC, the black market doesn’t suddenly disappear. People don’t stop buying drugs and weapons and sex and doing cash jobs, and they’re not going to start trading ...
