There's a yard waste dump a few miles from my house and the majority of my firewood comes from people dumping their trees there. Unfortunately the Dump Master loves to burn anything they throw in there within 24 hours of delivery, so I've watched a lot of really excellent wood go up in smoke because I couldn't get to it in time. I went yesterday and had an entire truckload cut up in about an hour. I was going to go back for a second load but it was getting late. Naturally, he had it blazing at 6:30 this morning. I was a little disappointed but it was hedge so not a huge loss I suppose.
