One thing I really liked about this was the aspect of interspecies collaboration, especially with an alien that is as "alien" as Rocky.
This is the type of story that, in a different era of Hollywood, would have gotten mangled to the point where Rocky was the bad guy. Instead they have to collaborate to solve a common problem.
