A bip-110 fork will certainly fail because even the most die hard supporters will not sell their corecoins for knotscoins, it's way too risky. They will just hold both forks and observe, especially if their stacks are meaningful.

But tons of people will dump their knotscoins for corecoins

It's easy to run a knots node and shitpost about it, but when it comes down to betting your entire financial future on it, we'll see if they are as brave.

Agreed - unless those supporters *actually* believe bip-110 is existentially vital to bitcoin... in which case, they would view corecoins as imminently worthless to them anyway. I'm not really buying their conviction in that belief, though.

Feel like you don't understand how forks works for some reason. Either that BIP 110 fails and then they didn't risk their coins in the first place because you couldn't send a transaction during that period.(no support) OR Core nodes just adopt the BIP 110 chain as the true chain and all the mine...

Riskier than keeping you stack in a chain which has accepted there is nothing it can do stop spam (and data storage), and even opens its doors wide to it? I don't think so. I believe that bitcoin is finished in the "fees will outprice spam" scenario, and you might as well return to fiat as soon as p...
