Saying I have no concept of history is a pretty ludicrous statement that is hardly provable for anyone. Anyone that has taken a history class has some concept of history. Even if it’s wrong, there is some concept.
I just don’t believe tyranny was this amazing thing. Even if it resulted in some beautiful things being built like British castles or whatever fancy statist symbols you enjoy. Which free societies are you referring to? The UK can’t even post an opinion on social media without police at their front doors. In this wonderful land of the free, the red white and blue, you can’t even drive down to the store to buy potatoes without being scanned by flock cameras. You can’t even travel by plane without getting molested and X-rayed by tsa.

The origin of my values is irrelevant. The important thing is that they work for me. Many western values come from Socrates and Plato who were not representative of these British architectural accomplishments. I can enjoy their beauty but I don’t care for their historical significance. The governments behind those were ruthless and tyrannical. The country you’re so proud, with all of its “aura,” tried to go to war with this country to prevent it from gaining independence. So not sure why their goofy outfits are a flex. I don’t see the aura. But that’s subjective.
The point seems to have been missed by you though. It’s subjective. I can’t think of another time period or civilization with aura. The robes, wooden teeth, and swirly white hair does not look good to me.
And regarding civilizations, I don’t really like any one better than another. I don’t care for collectives or groups. I care about individuals. Once people get together in groups, atrocities follow. This is inevitable as people will always have different values and beliefs regarding fairness. And the most powerful will enforce their idea of fairness.
