I like this tweet from Saylor. Imo the power of "an economic node" is not simply in the verifying of transactions like some claim it is. This is not the part that makes a node gain influence. It's probably more accurate to describe a node with influence as a "providing node". What can I obtain if can communicate value with this node? What do I lose If my node or his node fork off.
The lower you are situated in the supply chain the more influential your node is. I guarantee you that the farmer as more influence than you as a consumer. If the farmer fork off, you might just fork off too. If you fork off, the farmer probably won't give a fuck.
