As someone who has been laid off since September of 25. First couple months were great and enjoyable as I had been doing 7 days a week for months before the store closed. So I needed the time off. I've never understood the word retirement. I spend more time on unpaid work than paid anyway, and always have. A privilege for sure, but also the reason I'll never be able to afford to actually retire.
