we did it for a whole year last time. only reason I changed the battery was cause the carburetor died, so I figured might as well change the battery at the same time.

Till buying that extra battery wont be a burden I guess... cuz this is not a laziness thing. To unplug terminals and to unscrew the battery cage of the other machine you are taking it from then jump start then back... its a dirty not a fast job too... soooo ... yeah no one will judge ...
