I doubt it. I'll check the back up drive in the morning independently. But during the first install I selected the correct drives for the OS and Back up. When promted to overwrite I clicked ok but preserve data never came up.
So I fucked up 😢

Just remembered something and checked, I've a back up on another external drive. That's quickly going to be two back ups. Good job I've got into the habit of doing that years ago.

Oh man. I hope you can find a way. Could recuva be of any use? Hopefully you can get some back that you've shared with other family?
