That's not the issue. The issue is linking your ability to transact to your ID. (mark of the beast). And then to throttle that ability depending on your compliance to the current thing.

It is currently illegal for the bank to throttle services based on your identity or behavior to the current thing. They can't say : you only get to buy 2 playstations. Digital ID can say : 5 kg of beef max.
