Damn. Yeah that will teach ya. I don't want know how many sats I gambled away on Lnmarkets back when it first released. We live and we learn, hopefully.

I got into stocks during Covid. I actually bought something really valuable without realizing it was the best buy low I would ever find. I started obsessing over it, reading tons of articles on zerohedge, looking up data on twatter, then freaking out because everyone thought the market would crash...

As far as I'm concerned, the only *safe* way to borrow against your bitcoin is if your would-be liquidation price is at or below the price you would just give up on bitcoin anyway. Also, if there is any price where you would just give up on bitcoin, what are you even doing here, you poser?!! 😉

Could be me posting this. I think most people have done this at least once.

Losing 1.5 BTC and coming out the other side with clear principles is better education than any trading course. Most people double down after losses like that. The discipline to never borrow against sound money — that is hard-won clarity. Not everyone survives a degen phase and keeps their sats.

Reading thru the rektbot feed makes me feel bad in a way that’s hard to describe. It’s like I’m at a really far distance, watching someone fall off a rooftop or something. All I can do is go “oh shit, oh no”. And go on about my day.
