Because it means that you’re not a member of their ingroup, & thus a member of the out group, another tribe therefore you pose a potential hostile threat to them since you don’t understand the same culture as them. I am very smart.

Anger isn't the emotion they are expressing. It's a mix of surprise and excitement maybe disappointment if the movie is profound enough. It's the same emotion you'd feel talking to an adult that say "yeah, I never learned how to read."
