After years of experimentation this is the toothbrush and toothpaste combo I have stayed with. The sonicare brush is incredibly annoying at first, but I got used to it after a day or two. It doesn't have moving mechanical parts, so there's less opportunity for a mold trap in the brush. Then I found these bamboo and boar's hair brush heads to avoid plastic.

At first I thought they would be crap or wouldn't last, but I've been using it for a couple months now and I like it. The toothpaste is basically baking soda in powdered form with some mint, so no bullshit ingredients.
