Isn't it kind of impossible to hide my ip without rerouting the traffic trough a new ip? I do not get how they could hide the IP within a Browser. You have any clue?

Probably just all the traffic redirected through Google's proxy. If such, it will protect cross site tracking for every company, except Google, one of the main data discloser to data brokers πŸ™ƒ
