Greece is now pushing social media age verification and calling for EU-wide tools. Ireland is testing digital ID for the same purpose.

I’m fed up with this direction. Every few months, another government seems to decide the answer to online safety is more ID checks, more verification layers, and more infrastructure tying real-world identity to everyday internet use.

Protecting kids matters, but protecting peoples privacy matters as well.
