Thoughts on Healthcare:
Canada doesn’t have “free healthcare”
Canada has overpriced, crappy disease care that people mis-label as healthcare
Critical distinction: Healthcare vs. Disease care
Healthcare describes products and services that help people take better care of themselves
Disease care is the diagnosis of disease and management of symptoms without addressing the root cause
30% of taxes paid by citizens pay for a crappy disease care system that is so bad/evil that it has literally murdered over 100,000 citizens under the guise of “assisted suicide”. It’s diabolical
If I was asked to become chief of Healthcare in Canada, here’s what I would do:
1. Assemble a council of 12 legitimate authorities across 5 domains of health (food, sleep, movement, mental health, technology)
2. Have this “Health Council” train an AI chatbot on timeless, ancestral principles of Health and behaviours that embody the principles. Simple behaviours like:
Eat real food
Reduce consumption of processed food products
Go for a daily 30 minute walk outside
Prioritize restful sleep every night
Reduce chair sitting time
Train your balance
3. Make the chatbot freely available to all Canadian citizens, pay people to interact with the chatbot. Enable the chatbot to act as a health assistant that prompts healthy behaviours everyday
4. Open community health hubs that offer health screens to test heart health, mental health, and balance. Pay people to get a quarterly health screen
5. Empower the free market to offer low cost, efficient disease care services to those who need them. When it’s expensive to be sick, people have an incentive to be healthy. Everyone who needs help receives it. The help is inexpensive and available right away because the free market competes to offer better services at lower costs
6. Reduce everyone’s taxes by 30%. This immediately gives people more time and resources to improve their health. It also provides money for people who need to pay for disease care services
7. Apply a 25% “disease tax” on products that create disease. Ultra processed foods, pop, alcohol, candy…etc. Use half of that disease tax revenue to fund the expansion of health hubs and the other half to support local farmers growing real food naturally
