My last workplace was annoyingly progressive and had a ridiculous performance reward program instead of bonuses. Every so often, I would get Good Boy Points I could spend on gift cards. Thankfully they had a Cabella's redemption option, so I gathered up enough $10 "nice job" gift cards to buy a gun, which I openly joked about. Upper management caught wind of my scheme, and made the Cabella's option unavailable thereafter, so I had to spend $5.95 cash to cover the difference on the cheapest gun they had in the store.
