I have a win to report.

Effective immediately after last night's meeting, the town turned off 19/23 of these cameras!

I spoke, but it was the eloquence of others as well as the new board of Trustees that were the MVPs

The 4 cameras that stayed active are at places like the water treatment plant and water storage.

While more work needs to happen to get this type of camera out of the town for good, it was good progress.

The town must provide a cost estimate to switch to a closed loop system

My small town with absolutely minimal crime put up AI surveillance cameras. Tonight is the second town council meeting about them. The last one was intense afaik. I think I'm gonna go. Any advice?

Having them for the water source is the least aggregious place I could think to have them. Security there makes a lot of sense if no other option is available.

Very happy for you, congratulations! Yesterday we had a town council meeting, the objectors were mostly ignored (not cameras yet privacy is a major part of it). I live in a place with high crime rate, there are cameras everywhere - your remarks are all on points.
