One of my fiat businesses is making a lot of payments recently and I'm trying to orange-pill as I go by asking the recipient of the payment to accept Bitcoin.

My main negotiating tactic is to show the Normie a screenshot of a the PayPal payment (they almost always want a paypal payment)... and show them how horrible the exchange rate is and how much PayPal is taking.

But -- I'm starting to think that the biggest barrier to Bitcoin adoption as payment tech is actually the "crypto" industry.

The problem is that, if you send a normie Bitcoin, he/she will immediately go onto an exchange to try to exchange it for fiat... and in the process, there is such huge likelihood that the exchange will be able to trick/confuse the Normie into some kind of "crypto" gambling thing... this only has to happen once, and the Normie will assume that the whole thing is a scam.

I heard about Bitcoin in December 2017, when it was 16k. A lot of ads from the Lambo bois and so on, so it felt like a scam. 🤷 So yeah, that's the general opinion.
