The problem I have is with the whole bitcoin only company cult. Most people who got rekt probably began their self custody journey using ledger or trezor. They were psyoped by the cult, that they weren’t doing enough.
“Oh it’s not air gapped” “They deleted all your emails in 90 days”.
These people would today had been fine if they were doing what they started with.
Now these same scumbag influencers are pumping multi sig, dice rolls etc without understanding the trade offs. Most of them are gonna shot themselves in their foot while doing that.
Bitkey also has an infrastructure risk, which they don’t talk about much. At the end of the day it’s a multi sig.
Same with collaborative custody, you end up giving your privacy.
If someone knows about the trade offs and chooses it, then it’s fine.
