In it, a perfect version of the Jewish Tanukh, confirming the contents of Book of Isaiah, where God reveals the coming of the Messiah Jesus Christ to the people of Israel.

"he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all."

The New Testament is the God the Old Testament pushing His redemption beyond the Jews, into the Gentiles, to all nations, through Jesus Christ the Messiah prophesied to the Jews 700 years before He arrived.
