I can't seem to get NWC working with my CLN node. I've tried several plugins now. WTF am I doing wrong?

You are using the wrong software for the task. Run AlbyHub to keep you connected to the latest and coolest and open a channel to your CLN to keep your 1st class seat in the lightning network.
