Where do you expect everyone to store their nsec even if they’re not using Google or Apple login? In a PIN-protected text file on a USB stick in a locked drawer? Most people will just use a password...
Stamped in steel of course.
More seriously, a backup on Google drive is very different than Google unilaterally being able to turn off your identity. You can back up to Google AND your hard drive AND a piece of paper. Heck you can even make your nsec be a BIP84 key from your Bitcoin master seed and you'll already have it backed up if you know the derivation path.
Things you can't do with Google login.
