Sure they can. Same as the Aztecs did. Don’t think we are past it. We already decided it is ok to sacrifice others in favor of social good in Covid era. Now Climate Change is the next in line for us to consume human life for the good of the planet.

There is no morality in our era to halt human sacrifice becoming normalized, because in material terms it makes sense.

False equivalency. Killing your own eggs is not the same as killing full grown humans from another tribe. You might cry as hard as you want, it doesn't make it true.
