⚡️📱 NEW - Because of vibe coding the number of new apps in the Apple App Store nearly doubled over the past half year. With AI, developers can build more apps in less time. 560,000 new apps hit Apple's App Store in the first half of 2026, nearly matching all of 2025.

Demand isn't following: iPhone users downloaded 17.6 billion apps, just 2 percent more than a year earlier. More supply chasing the same attention means harder discovery for developers and more strain on Apple's app review. Leading to cheaper software over time.

In a free market the price will tend to the cost of production as technology increases..

Almost everyone I know with an iPhone are weird about about installing apps on their phones. They act like installing an app is a lifetime commitment. So I'm sure thousands of new apps aren't going to help.
