The past 5 years in Bitcoin have shown those paying attention that Bitcoin is a 50+ year project. This will not be easy or fast.

There are powerful enemies of all types on all sides. The masses are genuinely indifferent and will remain that way. The protocol and its architecture will be endlessly tested. All weaknesses will be pursued. There will be long periods of stagnation, regression and growth in all parts of the protocol and at different times. There will be despair, doubt, triumph and much boredom.

Conviction and of all will be tested repeatedly and we will not all make it to the finish line. But in the end it’s our best shot to participate in and support a system that is genuinely different, indifferent to human biases, woes and desires, and that can have a long-lasting positive impact on humanity.
