When you slow consumption of other’s ideas / pitches / theories and advertisements something interesting happens - you start to come up with ideas of your own.

These ideas likely aren’t totally original, they might be flawed, mundane, hyper-rational or counter-trend. Every once in a while they might even be borderline brilliant.

Regardless, it’s an entirely different experience from being an NPC who gets their “thoughts” from instagram influencers, politicians, psyops, podcasters and ads.

I noticed this during Lent. One of the things I did was I quit listening to content at 2x speed, and restricted myself to 1x speed. I'm not getting as much info in a day as I used to, but things seem quieter and I feel like I've been able to think clearer than the haze I seemed to have the last few ...
