I wouldn't either. But EVs are advantageous in terms of maintenance costs. And if you really are just driving around town with one, it's cheap to operate.

Mechanical simplicity and performance they are superior. But the Achilles heel is they are permissioned. Wouldn’t be surprised if “owners” start to get features put on subscription.

I agree. The technical limitations of EVs are another subject, but I do love taking big road trips to remote areas. EVs are not ideal for that either.

I’m a diesel maxi. Most efficient and most powerful ICE vehicles. 500 miles per tank on my Jetta TDI and 40 mpg. The bish only cost 6k. Can’t beat it.
