I don’t like what modern football has turned into. Everything’s overregulated and the players are getting worse. Hardly anyone wants to take on the fullback 1-on-1 out wide anymore. Everyone just plays it safe, which is basically playing like a coward. 8 refs! Back in the day there were only 3.

Some strikers were only brought on to cause chaos in the defense so the other forwards had more space. There was a lot more variety in how teams played, different tactics, and most of all real entertainment. You’d even get the occasional big brawl on the field. That was football.

Just think how much more was possible before that stupid offside rule came. What bullshit. So what if someone’s standing behind the defensive line? The defense should just pay attention accordingly. Regulators made up all these rules just to keep themselves busy and slowly killed the game. Same thing as in real life.

Now they all play like robots. Supposed to be "professional", but it’s cowardly and boring as hell, like some plain unsalted soup. Fiat football.
