What is up with these otherwise ok YouTube playlists that have a completely unrelated video injected in the middle?

This time it was a 1-hour video with some voice talking about cryptocurrency investing, but other time I've seen what seemed to be music from a completely different genre, maybe other times it was like an ad, I don't remember.

I can't believe someone is trying to scam listeners of this obscure band in such a nonsense way.
