WoT is literally nothing like a Chinese social credit score. It’s not imposed by central authority. The score is different for every user, and it’s built from the individual actions of everyone in your network, whether or not they run a WoT client. It also helps eliminate spam from your feed, and lets you find better quality follows based on who your friends follow and interact with. It might not be perfect, but what’s the better alternative, an uncapped fire hydrant of spam and porn?
