I think it's very laughable. Followers are pathetic.
It's what they think they want. To scared to color out of the lines. They don't have to think, or worry too much. They know as long as they wake up and clock in at some point in the day, they can calculate exactly how much money, to the penny, they will have made on the clock before they die. No risk. No paperwork, no tax problems, silver parachute guaranteed at 65. Two worry free vacations a year. Some like their jobs, they get to focus on what they enjoy and someone else sets their price. Never have to worry about incentives, markets, sales. Just clock in, go to my office or lab workbench and work away.
Plato's cave is quite comfortable.
