Totally agree with everything written here, Guy.

One bit that never gets addressed - the past has happened, there are generations of engrained hatred, and Iran is quite open about its intentions toward Israel.

So, if you were Israel and everywhere you look from your window you see threats, what would you do?

i.e. let us assume they do nothing. Does Iran suddenly change its goals?

And if not, what next? We wait until they can accomplish the goal?

How about this: Doing everything necessary to find a mutually acceptable solution at the negotiating table? Reconciliations are possible, even between arch-enemies. There are examples. The will to do so must be there. I‘m a Dreamer, I know. But I‘m not the only one.
