In the US, divorces are overwhelmingly initiated by women. About 70%. About 90% of those are by college degree holding women. I'm not sure this social contract exists within the context you frame it anymore. At least not in the US. Countries obviously differ in many ways. Here, this message seems reversed and a lot of men get screwed financially and in family courts.

But I also left the libertarian movement for reasons.

The US also has an incredibly confusing culture now though so that has to be considered. If my current marriage failed, I probably just wouldn't bother dating again. At least no one under 40, which is older than me.

College degree-holding women can afford to divorce. That is the point. They don't have to put up with anyone's shit because they have money or can earn money.
