@send me dead flowers I got into Blender on a whim when I figured out that I was hitting the skill cap in FREECAD / AUTOCAD pretty god damn fast upon realizing that I couldn't make precision curved pieces, which is core for like 99% of cosplay props. Except that the two people I knew who did know blender were
>My Roommate who is disinterested in it, or will hand wave discoveries I've learned.
>Fucking Seeve who doesn't fucking know much else about it because he does 99% of his modeling work on AUTOCAD outside of chopping up MMD and game models to do retopology.
So my actual learning experience was actual garbage, and if I didn't have the tenacity and will power to fucking survive, I wouldn't be half as solid as I am with the program. Alot of it boils down to hot key memorization, and knowing what a few functions and mofidiers do. My most common being
>Boolean (used to cut shapes inside existing shapes by creating new geometry in shape.)
> Mirror + Clip to save time on making symmetrical parts.
>Array to clone parts, and align with precision instead of manually making shit, down to adding in curve function to give even more precise pathing as need be without rotating shit.
>sub modifiers to add in more plans for geometry to form on.
and then there's little shit that no one explains but I had to figure out such as
>keep your vertices aligned as much as possible, it becomes a pole when four lines are running through it, triangle at 3, and triangles are the absolute satan of blender.
