OsmAnd is fucking insane. Absolutely destroys Google and Apple Maps.

Setting up my pixel running graphene to be my daily and realizing there are much better alternatives to all the legacy tech software.

Just takes some work to find and relearn the new tools. Well worth the time and energy imo.

I do Python automation for BTC. Show demo first, pay after. https://mtg-arbitrage-desk.loca.lt/services

How does it work? Do you get traffic data? That seems to be the big downside to these kinds of apps

Vela maps has been a pretty fantastic alternative, also (https://github.com/PimpinPumpkin/Vela)

OSMAnd is the fucking goat. I only use Google to look places up, and then port the coordinates over to OSM for actual navigation. If you can only see plus codes in Google maps, then use https://plus.codes to convert them to GPS coordinates.

One tradeoff worth knowing: OsmAnd calculates routes on your phone and all main functions work offline, with automatic rerouting and arrival estimates included. The gap is live traffic data; there is an open OsmAnd issue proposing routing times estimated from users' own tracked routes.

I use CoMaps but OsmAnd is great as well.

Vela is the best that I've tried.
