If you’re into IPA’s, try Athletic Brewing’s hazy. I’ve never liked alcohol free beer, but this tastes exactly like the real deal. Satisfying without the groggy feeling.

Recently did a dry month and was surprised at how much my interest in drinking, even socially, declined

Haven’t stopped totally but my overall consumption has plummeted. Mine was an active decision, but it hasn’t been difficult.

Everything in moderation and to the best of its quality is how to live life.

Considering it. I get much more relaxation out of cigars now.

Only some time after I quit entirely.

NDawg · 3d
Yes, big reduction. it just doesn't do it for me any more and you feel so shit the next day

There’s a lot to learn from giving up alcohol for a year… personal conclusion; depends on your relationship with it, but there’s nothing greatly wrong with a little quality tipple every now and again; but any more and like all drugs, it’ll steal from you behind your back.

Look for scientific papers that talks about the benefits of alcohol. Perhaps, you're gonna find the same path as I did do. BTW, I don't drink anymore.
Uvas · 3d
I'm down from about 15 drinks a day to about 4 drinks on Fridays.

Well I went keto 5 years ago, I'm Carnivore since about a year now. In ketosis alcohol is pretty restricted to (a little!!!) wine, or high vol stuff like whiskey. I do drink a Glas of wine maybe once every 2 month eating out, but other than that, nope 🤙🏻

Yes, 0% beer has assisted greatly. Now if I do want some, rarely, it's red wine The satisfaction I derive from 0% beer tells me it was a ritualistic thing. I had one with alcohol a couple of weeks ago....not very nice

A friend recommends Annie Grace book. Read it. Quit drinking completely. Updated my identity. Zero desire for it now. Needless to say, my sleep, health and self worth went up to a new high. I’ve been keto for 10 years and this was the final change I needed to make.

Yeah - it's not as attractive as it once was to me. It has a high cost (feeling like crap the next day) with very little return. I don't drink alone & when I'm with people socially I don't tend to drink much. I'm not actively restricting, just observing my behavior.

its stupid but i still do some just to make sure

Very intentionally. Alcohol is poison
Benking · 1d
I’ve actually been alcohol-free for 11 months now.
